Concrete Art

A foretaste at Åmells: 15-18 september. Full exhibition at Galleri NP33: 30 september-1 december

Because of Åmells cooperation with Gallery NP33 in Norrköping, we have the pleasure to invite you to a foretaste of the exhibition of Concrete art that will take place there later this autumn. For three full days, a selection of concrete artists, Olle Bonniér, Pierre Olofsson, Erik Chambert, Gerd Nordenskjöld and Nalle Werner, will be shown to name just a few.

From 1949 there was reason to connect the word Concrete to contemporary Swedish art. The non-imaginative, concrete language of the form that became a movement was coupled with the so-called folk-spirit that gained momentum after World War II. The strong colors of the new art and large geometrical surfaces became an effective tool for achieving visibility and visualising new ideals. The colorful form of speech of conceptualism feels both timeless and modern.

The exhibition Konkret will be shown in full at Gallery NP33 in Norrköping between September 30 and December 1.
